Case Study - Working with Kenyans

Our client is a European digital media company who had entered into an agreement with a small company in Kenya.

The Kenyan arm were essentially acting as a back-office support to the European company. After 8 months the stakeholders concluded that the partnership was not working as they had hoped.

Internal investigations revealed a cultural chasm had grown between the two teams.

Our task was to help address the issues at play. As well as consultancy we designed a series of courses for both sets of team which looked at Kenyan culture and their expectations viz-a-viz their European counterparts'.

The intervention was a great success leading to a shared code of conduct which now forms the basis of all interactions between the teams.
